讲座内容:

Lastgeneration of gamma-ray instruments has brought binaries to the forefront ofnon-thermal high energy astrophysics. They are well established gamma-ray sources of high energy (HE, 0.1-100 GeV)and very high energy(VHE, >100 GeV), displaying variability on a timescale related to the binarynature. They provide access to different physical conditions on relativelyshort periodic time scale, which allows access to different conditions forefficient particle acceleration along orbit. The elite sub-groups of binarysystems seen in gamma rays are gamma-ray binaries, microquasars, colliding windbinaries, Novae and binaries containing recycled pulsars. I will give a shortreview of these systems.

Prof.Jian Li obtained his Ph.D. from the Institute of High Energy Physics, ChineseAcademy of Sciences, in 2013. From 2013 to 2015, he conducted postdoctoralresearch at the Institute of Space Sciences, Spain. In December 2015, he waspromoted to research scientist at the same institute. In 2017-2020, Prof. JianLi conducted research at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY as a Humboldtfellow. In March 2021, he joined the Department of Astronomy at the Universityof Science and Technology of China. Prof. Jian Li’s research mainly focuses onthe galactic high energy astrophysics with a multi-messenger perspective. Prof.Jian Li is currently a full member of the Fermi-LAT Collaboration and hasserved as the scientific coordinator for the Galactic science group from 2020to 2022. He is also a member of HXMT, eXTP and EP team. Prof Jian Li is amember and actively involved in LHAASO related science.
